For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Ephesians 2:10 — NIV
So what a week it has been! Whew! TGIF! Yes, it has been one of those weeks. Then getting up this morning it felt like it all caught up at once. Preparing as my oldest turns 12 next week and we are celebrating tomorrow! Where has my time gone or this isn’t where I expected to be. Feeling like I am not really ready for her to be this old, not cleaning the house well, not getting what I need done, and then the message for the blog was swirling in my mind looking for the right scripture….the next thing I know God has me looking for all the translations of Mathew 17:21 I have. Bringing me to the King James bible that I read as I accepted Jesus into my life as my Savior and now my friend and my first love. As I am looking over the scripture comparing these translations when put of no where…plop…a card from when my mom passed away over 10 years ago…pictures of those beautiful girls from 5 and 6 years ago…not the young ladies they are maturing to be but the babies God gave me…His babies. Then I look over the wonderful card that pops up every so often when I am feeling like I am “not enough.” Yep we all have them. We all feel it. Well this beautiful card is from one of my mom’s friends I never “knew” till after my mom was gone. She is such a beautiful woman. I hope to meet her if it is God’s will. Her honest and heart felt message to me in such a time has come up in my heart on many occasions over the past 10+ years. As I continued to read through the message of the word about praying and fasting. God pulled me to purpose. He brought me to the scripture you have read today. The mixture of the words of a kind and honest heart, along with the Word of God worked in such a way to bring me to the reminder that no matter how inadequate we may feel, how behind we think we are, how we think we are messing up as parents or that we simply don’t feel like we are “enough.” We must always bring back the focus…Jesus. We have salvation through Jesus and God has a plan and a purpose for our life. He has it all in His hands. The day we feel unworthy is the day we need to go to the scripture and read where Jesus is enough. Through the power of the Holy Spirit we are to be guided. Do not let the enemy have a foothold of your thoughts. Remember, His grace is sufficient. He has made us for a purpose and that purpose is perfect and God ordained. I am eternally grateful for the salvation I am giving through Jesus Christ. I am excited and grateful for my purpose, and what a journey it is! The word is a lamp unto my feet and a light upon my path…He doesn’t show us the whole journey but parts at a time. In prayerful time and meditation in His word and conversation with Him. The Holy Spirit continues to direct us as He needs us to go. Friends, I hope that as you continue on your journey today that you look to Him for your steps, that you remember that you have been given a purpose, a mission, a plan that He has specifically for you. Let that be your hope. May you grow in faith as you see more and more of what God is doing along your journey. May the living, breathing, word of God guide and encourage you today and everyday of your life. I leave you with this from His word to guide you today:

13. For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. 15. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. 16. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. 17. How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast the sum of them!
